英國6歲男孩扎克·塔希爾喜歡在自家花園裡找『食物』，最愛的『零食』是苔蘚。花園因此這兒禿一塊，那兒光一角。父母無奈，只能重建花園，換成無法入嘴的人造草皮、兒童遊樂設施等。
根據廣州日報報導，塔希爾與父母和妹妹一家四口住在大曼徹斯特郡。塔希爾喜歡在自家花園裡玩耍，因為這裡有很多『食物』，草皮、花木、泥土，還有他最愛的苔蘚。
除了異食癖，塔希爾還患自閉症，不會說話。母親因此辭去工作，專心在家照顧兒子。
數月前，父母發現塔希爾的異食癖有所加重，開始啃咬臥室裡的牆壁。夫婦倆花3.6萬英鎊，重新裝修塔希爾的臥室，『武裝』成無法下嘴的臥室。
不久前，他們又花心思改造花園，斥資7000英鎊，移除大部分塔希爾的『食物』，鋪設人造草皮，架起滑梯、蹦床、吊床等塔希爾感興趣的設施，只保留了小部分花木。
這或許是英國第一個專為異食癖患兒設計的花園。霍恩說，新花園裡沒有障礙物，因此塔希爾可以東奔西跑而不被絆倒，『他有自己的小滑梯，有鐵桿可以鑽來鑽去，還有五顏六色的燈』。此外，花園裡還設有軟遊戲區域，小家伙可以在裡面隨意蹦跳，不必擔心會受傷。
什麼是異食癖？
異食癖並不罕見。年齡在1歲至6歲的兒童中，10％至30％患有不同程度的異食癖，喜歡吃一些不能吃的東西，如泥土、顏料、粉筆煙蒂、頭發等。異食癖可能導致鉛中毒等嚴重的健康問題。異食癖常見於發育障礙人群，如自閉症患者。
