男子厭世持刀跳河 警苦勸救回

高市鹽埕警分局建國四路派出所昨晚接獲報案，在中正橋上有男子持刀跳河，員警趕到現場，謝男呆坐橋墩，手持刀刃，喃喃自語，警方上前勸導「學會珍惜生命，沒有解決不了的事情」，謝男才慢慢放下手中刀刃，打消自殺念頭。

警方將謝男帶回派出所安撫情緒，謝男告訴警方，父親日前往生，來不及盡孝道，思父心切，無法釋懷，遂萌生輕生念頭。警方隨後護送謝男回家，交由祖母照顧。
