微軟創辦人（比爾蓋茲）說，Ctrl+Alt+Del 的電腦重開機指令設計，是個錯誤。（夏明珠報導）

Ctrl+Alt+Del 最初是設計來重新啟動電腦，在視窗8作業系統上，同時按這三個鍵，電腦會先進入工作管理員，給使用者更多選項。

微軟創辦人比爾蓋茲在哈佛大學的募款活動上，批這個設計太笨，因為明明是按一個鍵就可以解決的事，IBM卻設計用三個鍵來執行。

Ctrl+Alt+Del 鍵盤重開機捷徑，是IBM一個名叫（布萊德利）的工程師設計的，其實 ，他最初是想用Ctrl-Alt-Esc，不過後來發現三個鍵集中在同一側，讓人很容易會在不加思索的狀況下就按了，Ctrl+Alt+Del 需要兩手並用。

布萊德利曾在IBM的一項活動上說，這項設計的發明人雖然是他，可是卻是比爾蓋茲把它發揚光大。

事實上，這項發明讓布萊德利在程式設計領域，小有名氣，經常有電腦迷要求他在鍵盤上簽名。他的設計，被稱為三指禮，在1990年代早期，它被當成個人電腦發生藍屏死機狀況時的快速解決辦法。雖然有人嫌這個設計畫蛇添足，網路上也有粉絲聲援它。
