Samsung 已經在研發 2,000 萬畫素相機，但不會用於 GALAXY S 5 當中。

根據 etnews 報導指出，Samsung 正在研發 2,000 萬畫素相機，預計在 2014 年下半年亮相，至於下一代旗艦 GALAXY S 5，將可能搭載 1,600 萬畫素感光元件，且不一定支援光學防手震。

由於 Samsung 以往 GALAXY S 與 GALAXY Note 系列都採用同樣的感光元件，似乎意味 GALAXY Note 4 也不會配備 2,000 萬畫素相機，而最有可能配備這鏡頭的機種，應該是再下一代、於 2015 年推出的新機上被採用。

據悉 Samsung GALAXY S 5 所採用的 1,600 萬畫素感光元件仍是由 Sony 推出，以應付其龐大的出貨量。
