日職養樂多隊吉祥物「燕九郎」確定要明年才談薪水，畢竟以他快要出道20年的狀況，也想跟球團好好談判。

雖然養樂多隊已經跟所有的球員談完薪水，不過每年球季最受注目的不是球員，而是燕九郎。

本季球團順位最後一名，也是相隔6年才落入此狀況，但是最驚人的是Wladimir Balentien所創下的單季60發全壘打日職紀錄。

養樂多隊主場球迷進場人數跟去年相比高了108%，知名度方面，燕九郎也佔了很大的因素。

當被問到明年年薪時，燕九郎表示：「25% 我已經有所覺悟了。」
