美暴風雪肆虐　上萬航班延誤取消

【國際中心╱綜合報導】美國東北部及中西部前天起遭今年首個暴風雪襲擊，降雪逾50公分，氣溫最低零下43℃，氣象專家警告「皮膚暴露在外15分鐘就會結冰」。影響1億人及逾萬航班，紐約及紐澤西州進入緊急狀態，至少9人死亡。
 
美國國家氣象局（National Weather Service）表示，麻州波士頓北部城市博克斯福德（Boxford）前天降雪53公分，麻州及紐約州部分地區降雪46公分，紐約市20公分，緬因、明尼蘇達州都測得零下43℃低溫。
 
大雪讓空中交通大亂，全美前天超過2500班航班取消、逾7600班航班延誤，昨天稍早也有逾千航班受影響。紐約新市長白思豪呼籲民眾盡量不要外出，國家氣象局專家也警告：「午夜時外出非常危險，皮膚暴露在外15分鐘就會開始結冰。」
