2014年NBA明星賽替補名單將於31日公布，達拉斯小牛總教練Rick Carlisle雖然還在替球隊不上不下的狀態煩惱，不忘替自家球星拉票。

小牛老將「德國坦克」Dirk Nowitzki自2002年起，連續11年入選明星賽，直到上季才中斷，不過Carlisle認為他應該回到這個屬於球星的舞台。

「我很仔細地想過了，他會獲選的。」Carlisle說：「我就是有那種預感。」

「如果他沒進，那也很棒，因為他可以好好休息，但我真的認為，大家要仔細看看他的數據，如果給他足夠的上場時間，他會是個單場平均25分的砍將。」Carlisle說。

Nowitzki本季平均上場32.4分鐘，攻下全隊最高21.2分，罰球命中率高達90.3%，排名聯盟第2。
