這組照片講述了整個梵蒂岡最難以接近的地方之一——秘密檔案室的故事。很早以前，天主教就一直嘗試將文獻遺產留傳下去。但在那些時期，由於被洗劫和破壞，什麼都沒有留下來。這就是400多年前教皇保羅五世決定創建秘密檔案室的原因，檔案室用於保存和保護累積的文獻材料。據人民網報導，如今，秘密檔案室不斷地擴大，成千上萬的檔案和信件構築成一份獨特的文化遺產，為人們提供意想不到的旅程。這是第一次攝影師被允許接近這些秘密檔案。
