誤將鐵軌當馬路　聽障老翁遭火車撞飛！不治身亡

台中市潭子火車站13日晚間，一輛往台北的自強號136車次行經時，撞上一部停在平交道的紅色轎車車尾，而駕駛是一名領有輕微聽障手冊的8旬老翁，當時他下車察看，沒聽到火車的鳴笛聲，遭擦撞撞飛，送醫前已無生命跡象。警方研判，老翁可能是將鐵軌當成馬路，才會誤開上平交道。

晚間5時55分，一名聽障老翁駕駛紅色轎車，停在台中市潭子火車站平交道上，被往台北的自強號136車次列車撞上，車尾整個全毀，老翁當時因下車察看，沒聽到火車的鳴笛聲，遭擦撞撞飛，送醫前已無生命跡象，加上撞擊力過大，身體多處變形，經急救後仍宣告不治。

警方研判，老翁可能是將鐵軌當成馬路，才會誤開上平交道。這場車禍造成北上南下的列車均中斷，估計約有六千多名民眾受影響。
