「魯蛋」Luol Deng轉隊騎士之後，第一次對戰老東家公牛，比賽開打前，他走到公牛板凳席，擁抱教頭Tom Thibodeau，並和其他教練握手致意。

「這說明Deng就是這樣的一個人，」Thibodeau說，「他這麼做，我不意外。」

這場比賽Deng打了40分鐘，手感有夠冰，出手11次只中2球，得11分。騎士以87比98輸球。也許這是因為，Deng碰上「最熟悉的對手」，才影響表現。

賽前Deng告訴記者：「這真的很奇怪，我跟那群傢伙那麼熟了，好像昨天還跟他們並肩作戰，如今卻各為其主。」

當Deng還在想著昔日情誼時，另一邊，公牛教頭Thibodeau賽前告訴子弟兵，要是Deng想拿分，「那就好好修理他一頓」。

「這感覺當然怪，」公牛前鋒Taj Gibson說，「賽前我沒跟Deng說到話，氣氛有點緊繃，但賽後，我們還是好朋友。」
