湖人輸球已經不意外，被對手狂拿分也快成常態。最近三場比賽，湖人分別被鵜鶘拿下132分、被快艇狂掃142分、被金塊猛攻134分，連三戰合計，紫金大軍慘失408分，寫下隊史最慘紀錄。

「這樣是沒辦法贏球的，」教頭Mike D'Antoni說，「我們已經盡一切努力，但我真的不知道，問題在哪裡...。」

湖人連續三戰失分達130，聯盟上次有這種演出，是2008年的勇士隊。

這是湖人本季第42敗，確定勝率過不了5成。這是他們近20季以來，第二度「保5」失敗，前一次是2004-05球季。那年夏天，湖人獲得選秀第10順位，選進Andrew Bynum。
