陳柏霖與女團Popu　Lady成員庭萱傳祕戀１年多，日前周刊爆她與男性友人親密床照，毀了清純形象，她的公司澄清，他８日也力挺：「要撻伐的應該是侵犯隱私的人，我和她一直是好朋友，出去玩很正常。我就當娛樂新聞看，不受影響。」

他昨為「閱讀新浪潮」活動擔任文化大使，他說，20歲時喜歡看列寧傳及馬克思，裝文青想吸引女生，「那時候很做作、幼稚。」這幾年愛看偵探、自傳、科幻及小說，「我從不看暢銷書，因為不想和別人一樣，我常看賣得最爛的書，因為一定有它存在價值，看書樂趣就在這。」

他小時候不愛讀書，剛入行時發現有很多不足，所以靠閱讀，覺得讀書不能刻意，應該用輕鬆心態感受，他多在睡前和坐飛機時看書，現階段不想出書，因為年長一點出書比較有說服力。
