休士頓火箭29日將在豐田中心主場迎戰暫居「西區老二」的強敵聖安東尼奧馬刺，對於近況平平的「紅衫軍」來說是個好機會，也是一大挑戰。

為何是個「好機會」？兩軍本季交手，火箭取得2連勝，是全聯盟唯三對馬刺擁有對戰優勢的球隊，另兩支球隊是奧克拉荷馬雷霆、波特蘭拓荒者，都是西區超強勁旅。

為何是「大挑戰」？火箭終止3連勝後，最近連敗給曼菲斯灰熊2場，前役還是18分之差的大比分落敗，加上球隊氣氛欠佳，主將James Harden近2戰平均13分，命中率只有33.3%，球隊狀況稱不上多好。

火箭「哈佛小子」林書豪本季只對馬刺出賽過1場，上場34分鐘，貢獻13分、8助攻。

林書豪已經連續6場出賽時間低於30分鐘，決勝第4節更是苦無機會，很難發揮他「林來瘋」的影響力，期間平均數據只有8.2分、3.5助攻。
