削減國防預算 荷蘭將削弱其海外影響力

[大紀元2013年10月07日訊]（大紀元記者鄭健荷蘭報導）前軍事總司令柏萊恩（Dick Berlijn）日前向議會國防委員會表示，政府削減武裝部隊預算的計劃將會削弱荷蘭的國際影響力。

柏萊恩告訴國會議員，自二戰以來荷蘭政府一直堅守與盟國共同努力的政策，確保當地的和平與安全。政府必須有軍事力量來執行此政策，在必要的時候提供援助，否則將損壞荷蘭的國際聲譽。Dick還說：「現在荷蘭政府面臨的很多問題，諸如信貸危機、氣候變化和跨境犯罪等，都可以在國際層面解決。因此失去國際影響力是很不明智的。我們應該捫心自問：我們想成為這樣的國家嗎？」

國防專家德夭克（Rob de Wijk）向國防委員會表示，國防預算額外削減3.48億歐元的計劃很具「戲劇性」。如果執行此計劃，則荷蘭的國防水平將與塞浦路斯、馬爾他和芬蘭的水平相同，那樣的話，荷蘭的糟糕表現就有愧於其世界第六大經濟體的稱號。
