台中市政府文化局辦一區一特色，12日上午在大里區文化館舉行，由當地僑泰高中設計群學生展出現代設計，並有儀隊、熱音社演出，吸引許多居民參加，熱鬧滾滾。

大里區長許貴芳和立委何欣純致詞說，大里早在清代，是全省第六都市，大型帆船自大肚溪口可往上到大里，大里有大港口，古地名叫大里杙，杙就是綁船的大木樁，可見大里開發很早，而在縣市合併前的大里市，更是台中縣廿一鄉鎮中人口最多，有廿多萬人，文化局為讓古港口的特色能再現，辦有不少文化活動。

接著是當地僑泰高中儀隊精湛演出，有不少掌聲，僑泰高中的熱音社演出熱門音樂演奏，許多參加的年輕人，隨之搖頭歌唱，充人年輕氣息，大里區公所也頒獎給這些演出同學，僑泰高中副校長吳定興致詞說，僑泰是當地的學校，參加當地活動，是為融入地方。

戶外活動結束後，是室內文化館展出揭幕，僑泰高中學生除有許多現代設計作品，並在文化館地板上彩繪早期大里港碼頭的情景，當揭開紅布時，大家鼓掌歡叫，展出的作品，歡迎參觀。市議員李天生和劉錦和等地方人士也參加文化季的啟動儀式。
